The old adage that people who live in glass houses should never throw stones is lacking in its admonition! There should be be a proviso that, at the least, their houses should be well draped !!!

For those of us who don’t live in glass houses but have a house full of windows of all sizes and shapes, Donna Robichaud is an absolutely essential person to know.!

I was introduced to Donna shortly before I moved to a three story house in the downtown area of Ottawa . I was faced with the prospect of having to cover the many windows in our new house in short order if my family was to have any privacy.

Donna came to the rescue with a calm and purposeful plan. She visited the house to look over the size and shape of the problem, took copious measurements to ensure the curtains and drapes would fit perfectly, then met with me at the fabric store to offer advice on the type and colour of textile to use for my particular needs.

In what seemed like a very short period of time, she phoned to say the drapes were finished and she would be coming over to hang them on the appropriate hardware at my convenience. Needless to say, I was delighted with the speed of her work and the final product more than met my expectations.

That was nine years ago and her work continues to grace the windows of our home beautifully.

One question though………Donna when are you coming back to Ottawa? We need you here!

Before working with Donna Robichaud my draperies were very blah and blended into the room. They didn't do anything for the room and made the room very dark.

I like the fact that Donna listened to my needs, desires and the type of mood we wanted to accomplish. Donna gave us some suggestions as to style of window coverings and colours. Once we decided on the style and colour she suggested pictures by email over the internet for the different drapery swatches we could choose from. Donna took into consideration the colour of flooring, walls, furniture and style so everything would coordinate well together.
Once the draperies were hung I was thrilled with the result! My room had a warm inviting feeling to it with everything tied in together. The drapes were professionally sewn and hung and looked beautiful. Donna is a true professional, has a great eye for colours, styles and really helps you achieve what you want a room to look like.
